Hello one and all! I know it's been close to 2 weeks since I last posted anything up here. I must say it's been a very exciting 2 weeks despite all the nerves in response to my promo results. But yes I must say I'm pretty happy with my results, was my personal best in all subjects except for econs which I have to re-take because I didn't take the 1st half of the paper hence i only have 50% of the marks, and i obviously didn't score full marks for the second half so no choice i guess.

So in case all you who might in interested to know:

14-16 Oct 2005- CJC Catholic Retreat

Yup, my 1st retreat in CJC! Firstly I must say it turned out better than I had expected it to be. Lots of talks and some skits here and there, LOADS OF P&W (Praise & Worship), some games, quite a handful of sharing sessions, NOT ENOUGH BATHING TIME, food was okay only, MORE P&W, reconciliation part which was a really powerful experience for most of us present there. Was the closest I've ever felt to God, could even hear him calling out to me. For one thing, Im certain that all those who doubted their faith before the retreat came out of it a different person altogether.

Night time was the best part cause we got to watch a movie, MY LEFT FOOT, which is based on the true account of Christy Brown. It's about this man who can only use his left foot to move around and do everything else cause rest of his body is paralysed. A movie about courage, determination and perserverance that keeps the fighting spirit going. Not bad a movie indeed.
it lasted (on the 1st night) till 1am++ and everyone was falling asleep on the auditorium floor. was really kinda funny seeing everyone sprawled on the floor in a domino effect. muahaha

The next night there was all the thank you's to do up to our lovely facilitators who have been through the past 3 days with us, tolerating our affection pet names like; bunny or barney, cheeky pie, sweet cheeks, eclaire, chicken pao (unfortunately that happened to be me), tweety bird, maria the maid(?), blossom and the rest of which i can't remember haha, and all our other nonsense. Thank you soo much!!

okay enough about the photos. :) This retreat really brought me closer to God, and know that God is everywhere with us always, and this is the first time that i ever participated ever so enthusiastically in praise and worship sessions, singing our hit "One Way, Jesus, You're the only one that i could live for.." This camp really took away some of the worst hurts that I've ever had to deal with, taught me how to be stronger and strengthened my faith. Re-emphasized was also the fact that our Lord will always be with us and we must learn to open our hearts to him and he'll reach out to us :) In other words, I think this retreat really made me a different person, cleansed me totally, I'm so much happier now really. I don't mind going for another one like this next year ( and they'll most probably have it again anw). WELL DONE people who organised this!

phew* that was a pretty chunkful.

anyway, 16th oct was one miraculous night, really. Got throat infection the next 2 days, of which I have pus at the back of my throat and trust me, you don't DON'T want to see your throat in this condition ever. EVEN when the doctor offers you and says," No la, it's not that bad, see the mirror." RRrright. eeeww.

ONE MORE WEEK TO THE END OF SCH TERM. but not like that would make a lot of difference because we still icky yucky oral presentation for stupid project work till the 14th Nov. so it really sucks. but it's a gd thing i don't take Chinese so I don't have to mug extra hard for chinese, except yes for my sub paper. bleahx. A yr has just flown past us JUST LIKE THAT.. it's quite scary actually. ohwells must make the best of whatever time left with my classmates cause not all of us will be tgt again next year.

Anyways, today I was supposed to do up project work but i fell asleep. Got too tired, so yes i just finished my written report hence this very late or shall i say early entry. check out the time! met up with first 2 mths class- 1T04, really nice seeing everyone back again. :) many happy returns! hope to see you all and esp whose who didn't manage to turn up. PRATA WAS SHIOK even though i'm not supposed to be taking cause of my throat. haha!
